🔹 Cooperation Agreement
🔹 Signing a cooperation agreement with Petrochemical Research and Technology Company at 27th Iran International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition
According to the Public Relations Office of the Iran Polymer and Petrochemical Institute (IPPI), IPPI and Petrochemical Research and Technology Company signed a cooperation agreement in the field of research, design, construction, commissioning and operation of High Severity Fluid Catalyst Cracking (HSFCC) unit at the 27th Iran International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition.
The HSFCC process is an emerging class of the FCC processes, which is considered as the most modern generation. In this process, heavy oil cuts are converted into the lighter compounds, such as propylene, as the most important feed used in the petrochemical industry, butene (used in various polymerization processes in downstream industries), petroleum and gasoline. One of the most important features of this process is the variety and flexibility of its products according to the market needs. This process is important for the Iran"s refining industry due to the production of large volumes of low-value residual oil and environmental concerns.
