MoU signed between IPPI and Nakh Jarahan Teb Sina Company

According to the Public Relations Office of the Iran Polymer and Petrochemical Institute, on the sidelines of the 2025 Medical, Dental, Laboratory, and Pharmaceutical Equipment Exhibition, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between Nakh Jarahan Teb Sina Company and Iran Polymer and Petrochemical Institute. The MoU aims to develop scientific, research, and technological collaborations in the production and commercialization of polymer-based medical products. The agreement focuses on areas such as developing technical knowledge, advancing innovative technologies, localizing medical polymer materials and equipment, and commercializing high-value-added products.
Key areas of collaboration include the design and production of artificial blood vessels, surgical meshes, and other biocompatible polymer products, which play a critical role in surgical treatments and tissue reconstruction.
Under the terms of the MoU, both parties have committed to joint efforts to enhance domestic capabilities in medical equipment production and reduce dependence on imports. This includes applied research, technology transfer, specialized biocompatibility testing, and the design of pilot-scale production lines. The collaboration will leverage the research and laboratory capacities of the Iran Polymer and Petrochemical Institute alongside the industrial experience and market-oriented expertise of Nakh Jarahan Teb Sina Company, creating a platform for the development of advanced polymer-based medical products.
This MoU represents an effective step toward bridging research and industry in the medical equipment sector. It is expected to foster indigenous technologies, specialized employment, and the development of knowledge-based products in healthcare. By implementing this cooperation, the prospects for achieving advanced polymer-based medical technologies in the country will be significantly strengthened, paving the way for producing competitive products at the international level.
