The signing ceremony for a scientific, research, and technological cooperation agreement between the Iran Polymer and Petrochemical Institute (IPPI) and JAMPILEN Company was held in August of 2026.

The ceremony, aimed at expanding scientific, research, and technological collaboration and leveraging the shared capabilities of the two organizations, was held in Iran Polymer and Petrochemical Institute. The event was attended by Dr. Morteza Ehsani, President of IPPI, Mr. Hossein Bargahi, CEO of JAMPILEN, as well as a number of deputies and managers from both organizations.

The agreement seeks to strengthen scientific and industrial interactions, facilitate joint research projects, develop advanced technologies, enhance technical expertise, provide specialized and laboratory services, train skilled human resources, and support the commercialization of research outcomes.

During the ceremony, the heads of both organizations emphasized the importance of effective collaboration between research institutions and industry. They described the partnership as an important step toward addressing the technological needs of the petrochemical industry, increasing the added value of products, improving production quality, and strengthening the country’s competitiveness in the polymer and petrochemical sectors.

Under the terms of the agreement, IPPI and JAMPILEN will cooperate in identifying and implementing research projects, developing technologies required by industry, exchanging specialized knowledge and expertise, organizing training courses and scientific meetings, utilizing laboratory facilities and equipment, and supporting theses and research projects.

The signing of this agreement is expected to further strengthen ties between academia and industry and represents an important step toward advancing technology and innovation and addressing the specialized challenges facing the country’s petrochemical industry.
